Paprec
Jean-Luc Petithuguenin’s Paprec Recyclage Brittany based crew are mainly amateurs skippered by sailmaker Stephan Neve who has been sailmaker for over 16 years. Helm and tactics are done respectively by the famous twins Hugues and Sebastien Destremau.
The owner is a very well known sailing enthusiast who is founder and chairman of Paprec Recyclage. The company also support IMOCA Open 60 skipper Jean-Pierre Dick.
Paprec Recyclage raced for the French team at the final Admiral’s Cup in 2003 and then was part of the winning Commodore’s Cup team in 2006, after being second in 2004, with Neve on the Synergia 40 of the same name.
Before buying the TP52 they successfully raced an A40RC under IRC.
During the winter of 2011-2012 Paprec has been seriously upgraded to the latest IRC52 ideas, so a deep draft (3.45m), and lighter displacement and sail area corrections.
The team is looking forward to race in the 2012 Audi Sardinia Cup and Copa del Rey after having spend spring time racing on the french atlantic coast.
