Day 3, Race 5.

Markus Wieser and the crew of Container won their first race on the Audi MedCup Circuit since winning three times in Sardinia in a very unstable light breeze.

A second place for Bribon sees the Spanish crew take the overall lead in the regatta and maintain their charge for the overall season title, keeping the pressure on Circuit leaders Quantum Racing.

Container started nicely on the left side of the start line and were able to profit from the extra pressure on that offshore side of the windward-leeward course.

Bribon rounded the first mark in fifth but were able to climb steadily with smart sailing in the split breeze conditions.

Quantum Racing, the Circuit leaders, again struggled in the second half of the race sliding from third at the first turn to cross seventh.

Bribon’s recovery to second makes them lead RAN for this regatta by a single point.

Azzurra finished 8th, it lost them the 3rd spot on the overall podium. Container now leads them by 1 point.
