Bribon Keeps The Pressure On Matador

Matador is still leader in IRC B, but she no longer enjoys the advantage of the previous days, for Bribón cut distances by one point in race 6.

The boat skippered by Gonzalo Araújo was able to control the regatta from beginning to end thanks to the good tactics called by Ian Walker and Jordi Calafat.

They went to the right hand side on the first beat, and to the left on the run that followed, which allowed them to cross the finish line three minutes and a half ahead of second classified Cristabella.

As far as CAM is concerned, the 52 footer steered by the Prince of Asturias managed to pass Alberto Roemmers’ Matador, but had some trouble with her spi after rounding the first bottom mark and finished seventh.

She made up for it on the second race with a second position that places her five points away from the podium, where Cristabella is third.

Cusi’s Bribón could only manage third in the second race and is still three points behind Matador with just two days to go.
