The 20th anniversary of the TP52 Class will be celebrated in June 2020 with the creation of an invitational regatta. The AUDI TP52 20th Anniversary Invitational is open to all TP52s / IRC52s based on a TP52 history or hull mould in the world, so about a 100 boats are eligible to this invitation. The regatta will be held from the YCCS clubhouse in Porto Cervo and is organized by 52 SuperSeries and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The race dates are 16 – 21 June 2020 which means the event coincides with the 4th 52 Super Series event that year, the AUDI 52 Super Series Port Cervo.

For 2020 the 52 Super Series has scheduled six events, two in Cape Town SA and four in the Med. The AUDI TP52 20 th Anniversary Invitational will be raced and scored on IRC handicap whilst the AUDI 52 Super Series Port Cervo of course is boat for boat racing. Two of the race days the two fleets will start together for special day trophies scored on corrected time, one of these a coastal race. The other 4 race days the two fleets will both race on the same WL course but start 5 minutes apart in order to keep the 52 Super Series overall scoring a fair contest.

Expect some historic parties and a fleet of over 20 boats, for sure a regatta of high quality and one not to miss out on. The Notice of Race is posted on the ONB page under Documents
